High Anxiety -- 1977

Director: Mel Brooks
Writers: Mel Brooks, Ron Clark
Starring: Mel Brooks, Madeline Kahn, Cloris Leachman, Harvey Korman

Allen:  It's like watching a group of unfunny uncles demanding attention for their unfunny jokes.  We should have watched "Any Which Way but Loose."

Andrew: Brooks' occasionally funny take on Hitchcock suffers from a lack of consistent hilarity.  A partially funny comedy is like a gentle kick in the nuts -- not terrible, but it still hurts.  Movie needs more Nurse Diesel.

Dave:  Before viewing I would have ranked it third among the Brooks movies, after "Young Frankenstein" and "History of the World Part I."  After viewing, not so much.  Not nearly as funny as I remembered.

Score:  Eff you, Brooks.  Make us laugh.
